PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing glycerol di-t-butyl ether is provided to synthesize the glycerol di-t-butyl ether with high selectivity, to obtain excellent process efficiency, and to optimize the yield of the glycerol di-t-butyl ether by adjusting a reaction temperature. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing glycerol di-t-butyl ether comprises a step of preparing glycerol mono-t-butyl ether, a step of mixing the glycerol mono-t-butyl ether, glycerol, and liquid isobutene, and a step of reacting the mixture under the presence of a reactive catalyst. The reactive catalyst includes beta zerolite or ion exchanged resin beads having 40-60% of acidic sites which are substituted with metal ions.
