PURPOSE: An input apparatus for a vehicle is provided to enable a user to perform an input operation by conveniently recognizing the position of a finger or a nail from an image photographed by a camera. CONSTITUTION: An operating unit includes: a concavo portion(6) accepting a finger and having an operating plane; an operating switch(3) arranged at the operating plane; and a camera(50). The camera photographs the finger inserted into the concavo portion in a horizontal direction. A display unit displays the shape of the finger photographed by the camera on an operating screen. The operating plane is vertical to the inner plane of the concavo portion, and the operating switch is a touch panel.
