METHOD FOR PROCESSING BPC [BIT PLANE CODING] OF JPEG2000

摘要

PURPOSE: A method for processing a BPC of JPEG2000 is provided to reduce a processing time of the BPS which occupies a lot of parts of a compression time while maintaining the compression performance of image intactly. CONSTITUTION: A frame which is a compression object is divided into a plurality of code blocks having a continuous plurality of coding passes. In process of encoding all of coding passes by turns in each code block, context of each bit is extracted. Among encoding process, many state information is calculated/updated. A context of each bit is extracted in a same time and period from an upper bit plane to lower bit plane.
