<p>PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing biodiesel using fish oil is provided to obtain a high yield and highly stable reaction products by adding a catalyst in comparison with non-catalytic esterification reaction. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing biodiesel using fish oil comprises the following steps: a step preparing the fish oil by separating the fish oil from fishes and by-products; a pre-treatment step increasing content of free fatty acid included in the fish oil; a step putting a mixture into a reactor by mixing the pre-treated fish oil, alcohol, and a catalyst; a step injecting carbon dioxide of high pressure into the reactor; a esterification reaction which reacts the alcohol at 30°C~100°C and 80bar~500bar; a step separating the carbon dioxide and the obtained product from the esterification reaction; and collecting the biodiesel of a fatty acid alkylester type by separating the alcohol through decompression of the obtained product.</p> |
