PURPOSE: A motor monitoring method of an electronic parking brake system is provided to enhance the stability of parking in order that a driver can recognize the failure of a motor before an EPB system operates. CONSTITUTION: A motor monitoring method of an electronic parking brake system is as follows. It is determined whether the electronic parking brake system is in operation(S10). If not, a test pulse is supplied to a motor (S12). Motor current is measured(S14). It is determined whether the motor current measured is 0(S16). If not, error count is increased by 1(S18). It is determined whether the error count exceeds a given number(S20). If so, a warning lamp is turned on(S22). |
