PURPOSE: A data transfer device using free coding in a multiple antenna system are provided to include all information in converted symbols, thereby obtaining possibility of recovering complete data. CONSTITUTION: A modulator(720) modulates a plurality of parallel bit strings of the first serial/parallel converter(710). A second serial/parallel converter(730) changes modulation symbol of serial of the modulator into modulation symbol of parallel. A linear transformation block(740) changes a block s of the second serial/parallel converter to a block t of dependent symbols. A linear precoder(750) converts the t into L symbols. A transmission control unit(760) inputs the optimal value of the L and precoding matrices to the linear precoder.
