摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display reducing afterimage. <P>SOLUTION: A horizontal-direction difference and a vertical-direction difference are calculated on the basis of video signals Din(n-1) and Din(n) and a vapor deposition direction information 30A. When the calculated horizontal-direction difference and vertical-direction difference are equal to or larger than a predetermined threshold, position information (A(n), A(n-1)) of one of two pixel 11 selected on the basis of a predetermined rule is extracted, the two pixels 11 being calculation sources of the differences. Position information A(n) is subtracted from position information A(n-1) to derive position information B<SB>1</SB>(n), and then position information B<SB>2</SB>(n) of a pixel 11 exceeding the predetermined threshold is calculated from position information B<SB>1</SB>(n). A correction amount C(n) is changed on the basis of the video signal Din(n), position information B<SB>2</SB>(n), and weighting information 30B.
