<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a frozen egg roll, for producing the frozen egg roll at relatively low cost, which is decreased in excessive oiliness while having skin texture with light crispy feeling peculiar to fried cooked food even after heat-thawing using a household microwave equipment such as a microwave oven, and to provide the frozen egg roll produced by the production method. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided: a method for producing the frozen egg roll by rolling inner ingredients with skin, cooking with oil, and freezing the product, wherein a skin raw material contains a leavening agent, and liquid oil-and-fat is attached to the skin surface of the egg roll after cooking with oil, and the product is frozen; a method for producing the frozen egg roll wherein the leavening agent is a synthetic leaving agent of hydrogencarbonates basis; and a method for producing the frozen egg roll wherein 0.1-10 pts.wt. of the leavening agent is added to 100 pts.wt. of a liquid product obtained by mixing the skin raw material.
