<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of performing suitable gradation correction and screen processing by attribute of an edge. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes an edge detection unit which detects an edge from image information, an edge determination unit which determines attributes of the edge detected by the edge detection unit, and an image processing unit which applies at least one look-up table to perform the gradation correction on the edge detected by the edge detection part on the basis of the edge attribute determined by the edge determination unit and performs the screen processing with area gradations. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
