PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve display easy-to-see for a user without damaging the convenience when body temperature is measured in an electronic thermometer. SOLUTION: This electronic thermometer includes a light emitting section 252 having a plurality of arranged LEDs 252A, a shake detection section 230 for detecting that the electronic thermometer 100 is shaken and calculating the distance from a changing position of the shake direction, and a display control section 244 for controlling the light emission of each LED 252A. The display control section 244 includes a means for creating a light emission dot pattern constituted by dot strings whose distance from the changing position of the shake direction is defined for expressing the body temperature.
