<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature measurement probe with an extended lifetime, which allows production of a high-quality cast slab in continuous casting. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The temperature measurement probe 22 includes a thermocouple 1 for measuring the temperature of a molten steel in a tundish 21; a tubular inner protective pipe 2 having a closed tip for housing the thermocouple 1; and a tubular outer protective pipe 3 having a closed tip for housing the inner protective pipe 2.
