The bus system comprises the bus lines (11,12,13,14) of a data transmission system. The data wires of two bus lines, are provided with high data rate for data transmission in a direction as a medium. The data transmission system with low data rate, has the devices for modulating a reference potential for both the data lines. A frequency band of the data transmission system with low data rate, lies below the frequency band of the data transmission system with high data rate. The devices for modulation are formed as devices for amplitude modulation.
