PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for reducing the exhaust gas of a car are provided to reduce environmental contamination and increase exhaust efficiency, since the proper amount of oxygen is collected in a catalytic device. CONSTITUTION: A method for reducing the exhaust gas of a car comprises following steps. Fuel injection information, provided from an engine and intake air volume, provided through a throttle valve are received(101). If the intake air volume exceeds a critical value, the amount of the fuel injection is increased to fixed value, the fuel is injected to an engine(107), and then the amount of injected fuel is received(109).
