<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-acid battery which suppresses breakage of the lead acid battery in a case that ignitable gas accumulated in a battery container is ignited by any fire point, enables to reuse the lead-acid battery, and also secures areas for labeling, forming various display, and mounting a deterioration determination device or the like, on a lid. <P>SOLUTION: The lead-acid battery having a vent plug mounted on a vent, includes at least one of a first elastic member which is in contact with an inner circumference of the vent and an outer circumference of a cylinder part, and a second elastic member pressed in a gap between an outer circumference of a head part and the inner circumference of the vent. As the vent plug is separated from the lid even by impact of hydrogen ignition in the battery, the impact is relieved and breakage of the lid and battery container is suppressed. In addition, it is not necessary to provide a structure for relieving the impact in a place except for the vent plug of the lid, and a space for labeling and arranging the deterioration determining device is secured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
