<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight solar energy collection device (solar power generator) installable on the roof of a house, while reducing cost and weight of a tracking system for the device. <P>SOLUTION: The solar power generator (solar energy collection device) 100 is constructed of a trough reflector 101 and a motor (driving system) 142 turning the trough reflector 101. The reflector 101 includes a solid optical element 110 having a substantially flat upper aperture face 112 and a lower projection face 115 facing the aperture face 112; a mirror 130 abutting on the face 115 to reflect solar beams B passing through the face 112 toward the face 112 and be gathered in a linear area on the face 112; and a linear photovoltaic receiver (solar energy collection element) 120 fixed to receive the light gathered by the mirror 130.
