<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide spun-dyed aliphatic polyester staple fibers excellent in durability and suitable for use in fibrous structural body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The spun-dyed polyester staple fiber is constituted of aliphatic polyester, trifunctional or more epoxy compound, and pigment, wherein at least a part of the aliphatic polyester and trifunctional or more epoxy compound with are brought to react so that the epoxy residual content is 0.1 to 0.5 equivalent/kg in the aliphatic polyester staple fiber.
