<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire alarm system wherein various defects caused by an installation structure are dissolved and wherein installation work efficiency and alarm output efficiency are enhanced. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The alarm output device is a base sounder 20 which outputs a prescribed alarm for notifying abnormality of a monitoring area and can be installed to an installation base 10 fixed on a ceiling face 1, and includes: a piezoelectric element 27 for outputting alarm sound; and output device side connection terminals 23 for connecting the base sounder 20 to the installation base 10, provided on a face facing to the installation base 10 in the base sounder 20. In a face parallel to the ceiling face 1, a sound source is disposed in a central position of the base sounder 20, and the output device side connection terminals 23 are disposed in acentric positions of the base sounder 20.
