<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer, even if there are several types of frames to be transferred to a main storage, the frames by one DMA control circuit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The communication device has buffers configured of two stages for storing frame data. Frame buffer blocks 181 to 18N of the first stage are respectively made to correspond to a plurality of types of frame data, and the frame data are centralized in one frame interface block 20 of the second stage. Thus, it is possible to transfer many types of frames by transferring a plurality of types of frame data to a main storage memory 10 of a CPU 12 by one DMA control circuit 22.
