PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary valve capable of restraining the occurrence of inconvenience such as overload operation, by reducing frictional resistance by a powder and granular material deposited in a clearance between a side of a rotor and an inside of a casing. SOLUTION: This rotary valve 1 has the casing 2 having an intake port 2a and a takeout port 2b of the powder and granular material, and the rotor 3 incorporated into this casing 2 and moving the powder and granular material taken in from the intake port 2a of its casing 2 to the takeout port 2b of its casing 2 by rotary motion.
