PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify operation for the exchange and setting of setting information between apparatuses embedded with web servers and web browsers. SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus control method includes: a step (step S1301) for allowing the web browser of an image processing apparatus 110 to request the output of data stored in the image processing apparatus 120 to the image processing apparatus 120 having a web server; a step (step S1303) for determining whether or not information outputted from the image processing apparatus 120 is information that can be set as he setting information for the image processing apparatus 110 based on a response from the image processing apparatus 120 to the request; and a step (step S1304) for, after the determination, displaying an operational screen including a button to order the setting of the information outputted from the image processing apparatus 120 as the setting information for the image processing apparatus 110 if it is determined that the information outputted from the image processing apparatus 120 is the information that can be set as the setting information for the image processing apparatus 110.
