摘要 The present invention provides a light sensitive planographic printing plate material which excels in printing durability and tone reproduction property in high resolution printing as in FM screening, and an image formation method employing the light sensitive planographic printing plate material. The light sensitive planographic printing plate material is characterized in that a light sensitive layer containing a light sensitive composition containing an addition polymerizable ethylenic double bond-containing compound, a bisimidazole compound as a photopolymerization initiator, a polymer binder and a photosensitizing dye is provided on a support obtained by subjecting one surface of an aluminum plate to (1) chemically etching treatment in an aqueous alkali solution, (2) electrochemically roughening treatment in an aqueous nitric acid solution, (3) chemically etching treatment in an aqueous alkali solution, (4) electrochemically roughening treatment in an aqueous hydrochloric acid solution, (5) chemically etching treatment in an aqueous alkali solution, and (6) anodizing treatment.
