PURPOSE: A reader of an RFID in which a power saving mode is performed is provided to periodically execute a power saving mode at a set cycle and a frequency of query commands, thereby automatically and efficiently saving power during an operation. CONSTITUTION: A controller transmits a query command to RFID tags(S506). The controller increases a query frequency by 1(S507). The controller has unit communication(S508). If the query frequency is larger than a set number, the controller stops output of a power signal from a transmitting unit to RFID tags(S509,S510). The controller turns the transmitting unit and a receiving unit off(S511). The controller inspects a switching state of a frequency channel of an oscillation unit(S512). |
