The invention relates to an actuator device (20a) including: a case (28) housing an expandable material, a moving part (26) that can move in translation as a result of the expansion and/or contraction of the expandable material, and means for heating said expandable material. The device also includes: a position sensor which measures the current position of the aforementioned moving part (26); and means for positioning the moving part (26), including control means acting on the above-mentioned heating means according to the current measured position.
