<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bright stone lantern in which a light source is placed outside. <P>SOLUTION: The stone lantern uses LEDs as a light source which combines a solar cell panel and a storage battery 5 storing the extracted electric power in place of a conventional one using a candle as the light source, and the LED light source is constructed as one of wall face of the stone lantern. Thus, the surface which emits light can be made large and even if it is installed on a stone lantern designed for the existing candles, light is not shielded by a wall or the like installed for wind prevention and can be emitted efficiently, and sufficient brightness can be secured for a human moving around nearby.
