<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an information processing apparatus, a switching method in the apparatus, and a switching program in the apparatus, capable of shortening a stop time up to the start of operation even when an electric component as a target of operation is in a diagnostic state. <P>SOLUTION: An operation means 12 operates the apparatus by use of an apparatus part 11 in which one of electric components provided with a plurality of identical functions is selectably disposed. A status monitoring means 15 monitors the status of each electric component.
