<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin fluid dynamic pressure bearing device with high bearing rigidity and a thin spindle motor mounted with the bearing device. <P>SOLUTION: A static part includes a sleeve 33, a cover member 35b, and a housing 32. A first taper seal part 39 is constructed between an outer peripheral surface of a shaft 31 and an inner peripheral surface of the cover member 35b. A second taper seal part 40 is constructed between an outer peripheral surface of the cover member 35b and an inner peripheral surface of the housing 32.
