<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw compressor suppressing a change in temperature of an invertor device and improving the service life of the inverter device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This screw compressor 1 includes: a compressor body 2 compressing air; a motor 3 driving the compressor body 2; the inverter device 4 variably controlling the rotational speed of the motor 3; a water-cooled cooler 5 cooling compressed air generated by the compressor body 1; and a cooling water supply pipe 6 supplying cooling water to the cooler 5. In the screw compressor, a temperature detector 13 is provided for detecting temperature of the inverter device 4, a cooler 12 is provided for cooling a converter 9, an inverter 10 or the like by introducing a part of the cooling water from the cooling water supply pipe 6 through a flow dividing pipe 14, a flow rate control valve 16 is provided for regulating a flow rate of cooling water introduced into the cooler 12, and a control section 11 is provided for controlling the flow rate control valve 16 so that temperature detected by the temperature detector 12 reaches a predetermined target temperature.
