<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superior tire having a following performance, in which a rubber composition is used for tread, wherein the rubber composition contains a modified conjugated diene-based polymer excellent in the interaction of a rubber component and silica being a filler and a silane coupling agent having a specified structure, and is thereby improved in the dispersion of silica into the rubber component and in the low heat build-up property and the wear resistance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition includes: (A) a rubber component containing 10 pts.mass or more of a modified conjugated diene-based polymer, obtained by reacting a modifier represented by general formula (1) with an active terminal of a conjugated diene-based polymer with an organometallic active terminal having nucleophilic reactivity; (B) silica in an amount of 20-150 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of the rubber component; and (C) at least one kind of silane coupling agent having a specified structure in an amount of 1-25 mass% to the silica being the (B)-component.
