PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus reducing a load acting on a connector connecting a light source side with a power source side and certainly keeping a connection state. SOLUTION: The lighting apparatus 1 includes: a case body 2 containing a lighting device 8, to which wiring having a power supply side connector 11 at an end of the wiring is connected, and having an opening 21 on a lower surface; a lighting unit 3 including a light source portion 4 having a light source 42 and a light radiation portion 5 having an outgoing plane from which light radiated from the light source 42 is emitted; a power receiving side connector 10 which is provided in the lighting unit 3 and to which the power supply side connector 11 is connected from a direction orthogonal to the outgoing plane of the light radiation portion 5; and a cover member 6 having an insertion opening 61 for inserting the light radiation portion 5 of the lighting unit 3, and attached to cover the opening 21 of the case body 2 while at least a part of the lighting unit 3 is locked on a periphery of the insertion opening 61 to support the lighting unit 3.
