PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cushioning member provided with an effective cushioning action even in a corner. SOLUTION: This cushioning member is table-shaped and is structured with a support panel part 11 for placing an item thereon with hypotenuses (13a, 13b, 13c, 13d) formed by cutting off at least one rectangular corner and leg panel parts (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d) continuing downward from each edge side (11a, 11b, 11c, 11d) excluding the hypotenuses (13a, 13b, 13c, 13d) of the panel 11.
