PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method for obtaining an image with suppressed uneven gloss. SOLUTION: The image forming method includes a charging step of charging at least an image holding member; a latent image forming step of forming an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the image holding member; a developing step of developing the electrostatic latent image, formed on the surface of the image holding member with toner to form a toner image; a first transfer step of transferring the toner image onto an intermediate transfer member; a film-forming step of changing the toner image transferred onto the intermediate transfer member into a film by pressurizing; and a second transfer step of transferring the film toner image onto the surface of a transfer material.
