<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for producing high-quality digital videos from moving images recorded on a movie film like 8 mm, 9.5 mm, 35 mm, and 70 mm films. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The digital image conversion system includes a frame feeding device and a digital camera. The frame feeding device is structured to move a movie film for each frame between an anti-Newton glass substrate with a planar light source as a background and a pressing plate which is freely opened/closed while having a through screen punched part. The digital camera sequentially perform photographing frame by frame while being interlocked with frame feeding. During photographing, the film is adsorbed to glass by sucking air from a ventilation hole provided at a film side end portion. When one frame is completely photographed, air is exhausted together with de-pressing of the pressing plate and frame feeding is performed. Motion picture editing is performed on digital video data obtained by performing such continuous operations of suction, photographing, exhaustion and frame feeding, thereby producing high-quality digital video images.
