A karaoke system with an improved user interface is disclosed. One embodiment of the invention relates to a karaoke system comprising: a sub-storage connector which uses karaoke information provided by at least two storages, and which provides a connection to an external sub-storage containing karaoke information; a play-list management unit which receives data from karaoke information stored in a main storage and / or a sub-storage, and generates a play-list table of karaoke information stored in either the main storage or the sub-storage, or generates a combined play-list table of karaoke information stored in the main storage and the sub-storage; and a microprocessor which controls the play-list management unit in response to the connection state of the main storage and of the sub-storage, thereby combining karaoke information of the main storage and karaoke information of the sub-storage when both the main storage and the sub-storage are connected to the karaoke system.
