<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an operational error in selecting a program. <P>SOLUTION: A program guide for display on a screen of a television receiver 50 is displayed in different colors so that the past programs (programs already broadcasted), programs currently in progress, and the future programs (programs to be broadcasted hereafter) are to be distinguished respectively. Furthermore, the program frame selected is displayed with a different color added. If the program frame selected is the program currently in progress, the display is changed to the program selected.
