FIBER STUB WITH OPTICAL ELEMENT, OPTICAL RECEPTACLE AND OPTICAL MODULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify product management and to reduce delivery time and cost by downsizing and unifying optical-isolator parts to deal with diversity of the shape of a metal holder for holding a fiber stub in a semiconductor laser module with an optical isolator.

SOLUTION: On a tip surface of a ferrule 2 where an optical fiber 1 is inserted into a through hole 27 at the center section and secured, a stepped surface 29 protruding from the tip surface is formed so as to include the through hole. An optical isolator element 9 comprising a polarizer 6 and a Faraday rotator 7 is attached to the stepped surface.
