<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and an information processing method to automatically extract an image effective for obtaining the contents of a moving image and to display the image so that the contents are easily obtained. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus includes: a moving image analysis part 103 which analyzes moving image data including a plurality of images and audios associated with time information and generates moving image metadata relating to a plurality of feature quantities characterizing the moving image; a comic display conversion part 107 which extracts a plurality of images from the moving image data based on the moving image metadata, divides a predetermined display region into frames and converts an arrangement of the plurality of extracted images into a comic-like arrangement and generates frame information including information about the images arranged in each of the frames; and a comic display data generation part 111 which generates comic display data including at least the frame information, data of the extracted images, and the audio data of the moving image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
