<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commuter ticket issuing machine allowing a user to easily set a route including a departure station, a destination station, and a transfer station. <P>SOLUTION: When a departure station is input, the commuter ticket issuing machine displays, on an operation display part 50, all routes from the station where the issuing machine is installed in descending order of the number of commuter tickets issued (S1). Matching is checked between the displayed route and purchase information (S2). The route is selected when matching is established between the displayed route and the purchase information, or a departure station input screen is displayed when matching between them is not established, and the departure station is input. All the routes from the input station are displayed in descending order of the number of the tickets issued (S4). Matching is checked between the displayed route and the purchase information (S5). The route is input when according with the displayed route, and a destination station input screen is displayed when not according with it, and the destination station is input (S6).
