[Class 2 (iii)] [Also in Group III] Gaseous olefines are polymerized to produce motor spirit using as catalyst a homogeneous mixture of calcium phosphate and a copper 'compound in a dry, porous, neutral state, prepared by mixing calcium phosphate, copper oxide, and orthophosphoric acid in such proportions that no free acid remains in the product. 'The ingredients are mixed with a little water into a paste, which develops heat and sets to a porous mass, which is ground and pelleted. Specification 460,659 is referred to. |
