PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device for a linear motion guide device, which avoids break of an oil film even if being used in an insufficiently lubricated condition and at the same time avoids premature wear etc. due to shortage of lubrication by effectively employing a small amount of lubricant by means of facilitating formation of an oil film in the vicinity of a contact point of a track groove of a guide rail with a rolling element. SOLUTION: The sealing device 10 is used in the linear motion guide device 1, and includes a sealing portion 11 made of a synthetic rubber including a protrusion 13b corresponding to the track groove 22b of the guide rail 2. Slits 14a, 14b formed in a position corresponding to the contact points CP2, CP3 of the track groove 22b of the guide rail 2 with the rolling element 4 are formed on the protrusion 13b of the sealing portion 11.
