<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving the durability of both a belt part and a bead part, and reducing its weight. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A belt layer is configured so as to have a double-layered structure. A carcass layer is constituted by a turnup carcass layer 12 which is folded back from inside toward outside so as to enclose the bead part 11, and a down carcass layer 13 which is disposed on the outside of the turnup carcass layer 12 in the tire radial direction, extends up to the outside of the bead 11, and terminates just on the side of the bead part 11.
