PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio transmission apparatus and a radio transmission method for attaining improvement in a retransmission gain by avoiding the suspension of a processing delay time and a increase in the number of times of reception processing. SOLUTION: Based on a result of threshold determination for a CQI transmitted from UE and a threshold and a magnitude relationship between the number of transmission transport blocks and the number of transport blocks processable for the UE, a transmission method determining section 110 determines a dividing method of transmission data. Based on the number of transmission transport blocks, the presence/absence of interleave in the UE and the dividing method determined by the transmission method determining section 110, a physical data size determining section 112 determines a mapping method of a plurality of transport blocks to be transmitted.
