摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently execute an update process of a squelch table to reduce a processing load of a CPU when changes of squelch data occur in a plurality of channels around the same time, in a method of controlling a squelch table update process of a bidirectional line switch ring type ring transmission system with a plurality of transmission nodes connected to one another by a ring transmission path, and a transmission device. SOLUTION: The number of transmission nodes through which squelch data to be transmitted by respective transmission nodes from a transmission source transmission node to a transmission destination transmission node (for instance, node #1-node #4-node #3) have passed is counted up for each channel set among the transmission nodes #1-#4 of a ring transmission system, and information of the number of transmission nodes is held. Based on the information of the number of transmission nodes for each channel, the squelch table update to a channel large in the number of the transmission nodes is controlled to be processed by lowering the priority of the processing order relative to the squelch table update to a channel small in the number of transmission nodes.
