In order to prove reproducibility and no alteration of a moving picture to a third party when a part of the moving picture is extracted, an image managing method includes a step of dividing the original moving picture into the header and the body and generating the hash value (H1) of the set of the header portion, a step of generating the hash value (B#) of each item of still image data, a step of connecting the hash value (H1) and each of the hash values (B#) and thereby generating connected hash values (J1#), a step of making a set of the connected hash values (J1#) as a hash value list (L1), a step of generating the hash value (T) of the huffman table after a still image is extracted, and a signing step of defining the hash value (H1), the hash value (T), and the hash value list (L1) as verification data for verifying the original moving picture, adding an electronic signature of video recording terminal, and using the verification data and the electronic signature as signature information about the original moving picture.
