A UNIT FOR FEEDING A FLOW OF TOBACCO PARTICLES IN A CIGARETTE MAKER

A flow of tobacco particles is fed through a cigarette maker by a unit that comprises an ascending chimney (14) enclosed at the top end by at least one aspirating conveyor belt (22; 23), on which the flow (4) of particles is formed into a stream (6; 7), and a descending duct (11) in which the particles collect before being released to a transfer unit (16) connecting the outlet of this same duct (11) with the inlet of the ascending chimney (14); the transfer unit (16) comprises a conveyor roller (17) by which the tobacco is taken up from the descending duct (11), and an impeller roller (18) operating in conjunction with the conveyor roller (17), by which the tobacco is projected directly into the chimney (14).
