<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of removing a foreign object in a printer head with a comparatively simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The printer 10 includes a guide rail extending in a scanning direction, the printer head 22 that is provided on the guide rail so as to be reciprocably moved in the scanning direction and is so constituted that a volume of an ink chamber 24a communicating with an ejection nozzle 25a is changed by using vibration of a piezoelectric element 24 so as to eject ink from the ejection nozzle 25a, and a controller for controlling the vibration of the piezoelectric element 24. The controller controls the vibration of the piezoelectric element 24 as well as performs a maintenance operation of the printer head 22 in such a manner that ink is ejected by using the vibration of the piezoelectric element 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
