摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient lithium ion battery in a battery with an anode having an insulating layer on an anode active material layer. <P>SOLUTION: The anode 34 of the lithium ion battery has the anode active material layer 344 having carbon particles (active material particles) 42 as a principal component, an anode collector 342 for retaining the active material layer, and an insulating layer 346 arranged on the active material layer. A coating section 344A, wherein the surface is covered by the insulating layer and an uncovered exposed section 344B are mixed in the active material layer 344. The anode 34 is formed so as to set its resistance value at 0.2-240 &Omega;/(4 cm<SP>2</SP>), when the electrical resistance between a copper foil and the negative electrode collector 342 is measured, by pressing the copper foil with a pressure of 1.96&times;10<SP>3</SP>N/(4 cm)<SP>2</SP>against the insulating-layer side surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
