<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering angle variable type steering device holding rigidity of a torque transmission direction of a ball reduction gear to a rated value or more and maintaining stable steering characteristics over a long period. <P>SOLUTION: This steering angle variable type steering device 10 includes the ball reduction gear 14 for transmitting rotary torque between an input shaft 18 rotated according to rotation of a steering wheel and an output shaft 19 for imparting a steering angle to a steering wheel. The output shaft 19 includes an annular member 47 fixed to the distal end part of a small diameter shaft part 36 fitted in a fitting hole 43 provided in the input shaft 18 by forming the small diameter shaft part 36 at an end on the input shaft 18 side and an elastic body 50 arranged between the input shaft 18 and the circular annular member 47 by providing a prescribed gap C to allow axially relative movement of the input shaft 18 and the output shaft 19.
