PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing systemic infection of a human being with HIV, in particular, a method for preventing sexual HIV transmission in humans. SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition includes a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, and 4-[[4-[(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)amino]-2-pyrimidinyl]amino]benzonitrile having inhibitory actions on non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase as an active ingredient.
