<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the productivity when forming a tab on a sheet. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet is conveyed to the sheet processing position for cutting the sheet by a conveying unit 500, and an area including a corner part on the upstream side in the conveying direction of the sheet out of a side end of the sheet is cut by a cutting blade 122 to form a tab. After cutting the sheet by the cutting blade 122 moved to the cutting position, the conveyance of the sheet is started by the conveying unit 500 before the movement of the cutting blade 122 to the cut waiting position is completed.
