<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a circular member significantly reducing a machining allowance of an operating surface, preventing reduction of hardness of the operating surface and further equalizing a depth of a hardened layer of the operating surface in a circumferential direction. <P>SOLUTION: Induction hardening is performed on a raceway surface 72 working as the operating surface in each circular-arc member 90 composing a raceway portion 21 of an outer ring 2 of a center bearing. Then, in each circular-arc member 90, induction hardening is performed on an outer peripheral surface portion 81 lapping with the raceway surface 72 in a diameter direction of the arc in a non-operating surface which is the surface on an opposite side from a central side of the arc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
